To get started, press the lock screen button one time on the right-hand side of the phone

A single press will open up the lock screen where we'll swipe across.

That will open the Home screen of the phone

.

From the home screen of the phone, press the Apps icon at the bottom right corner of the screen.

Scroll back and forth from left to right until you find the Facebook icon, which is the blue square with a lowercase F

.

Where this icon is located depends on how your phone is set up. Give a single press to the Facebook icon, which will open Facebook.

We're not interested in checking in, updating statuses, or doing any of the things that Facebook would generally like us to do

Instead, tap the icon with three short lines at the top right. It is the icon within the white part, and not the one in the blue part at the very top.

This will bring up a series of options that you can choose from

Scroll all the way down to the very bottom until you find the Log Out option

A confirmation window will appear to confirm, so click on the Log Out button, and this will log you out of the application, closing it.

Now that you have logged out of Facebook, the blue log in screen will appear

At this point press the home button one time. This is the black bubble shaped button at the bottom of the phone.

Now that you've pressed the Home button, press the recent applications button one time

Slide over to the Facebook application to close it

Now Facebook is closed.

Press the Home button again one time

This will take us to the Home screen. On the Home screen, tap on the Apps icon.

Find Facebook and press and hold the icon

Soon several options will appear at the top of the screen

Without lifting your finger, drag the Facebook icon to the Uninstall option, which is the third one from the left. It is a trash can, and it turns red with a bouncing lid when you drag the icon over it. Once you do that, let go.

A message will appear confirming that you want to uninstall the application

It will say, "Facebook will be uninstalled" with the options to Cancel or Uninstall. Click on Uninstall to remove Facebook from the phone.

Now, Facebook has been uninstalled

If you click on the Apps icon, you will see that Facebook is no longer there.

Press the Home button at the bottom of the phone to go back to the Home screen
