I resntly updated my XP PRO to a 32-Flake Win 7 and when I try to utilise the emulator it's just not working
when ever I effort to configre Lilypad it gives me an error (Twinpad doesn't work at all):
and when I click ok it gives me this fault:
My user is an Adminestor and I take the latest DX&C++ builds
my specs are
E5200
9800GT
4GB RAM
(p.s I ran a search and did non plant whatever thred that was any help to me so if in that location was a thred similar this earlier sorry I missed information technology)
Sounds similar you installed to the Program files directory and didn't force run equally administrator on the program. Solution is to install to somewhere else or run every bit admin each fourth dimension/ turn UAC off( although UAC off is a bit risky)

it works on windows vii (even on x64)
try to copy the install dir into another binder, for example some other partition... not on your drive where the Os is... windows 7 has some security things which, programs which doesnt run on admin rights, not allow to admission on the win or program dir.
i put my folder on Eastward: which is an partition of my large HD... only endeavor it

damn... too late
only information technology isnt a real sulotion to turn UAC off or run it with admin rights, crusade its a huge security take a chance and its annoying always click right, then admin etc ... you'll do information technology

Equally already Said. Information technology works on Win7 but if u take it in progrma files y'all will face problems with admission. Its not UAC its rights to Progrma files director which only real Admin posses

Well I moved the folder to the desktop... and it works like a charm!
tnx guys... I finally tin can end KH
You can install into Programme Files directory and not have to correct click > Run as admin every fourth dimension. All you have to exercise is correct click > Properties > Compatibility tab > Tick "Run this program equally administrator" > Employ. From and then on, simple double click should run it equally admin every time.
never install stuff to plan files on win7 if you tin can avert it...
i personally have a separate segmentation for apps, and because it's on a separate physical HDD i get faster app loading times too, then it's a win-win situation

Wouldn't a better choice exist to prepare a RAID so everything loads faster?
RAID-0 won't help loading times for applications actually, since it will merely boost sequential read and write speeds. It'll only have a noticeable impact on loading times for things similar big map loads in games, where a huge lot of data must exist loaded from disc to memory, or when dealing with big projects in Photoshop or some other professional application. Normal applications will hardly see a benefit.
Plus, if one of the difficult disks fail, you lose the unabridged array, and there's no way to recover information technology, different RAID-5 or RAID-1.
What you'd want for normal applications is lower access times, which y'all can get from Raptor drives (which are x,000RPM as opposed to the conventional 7,200RPM) or Solid State Disks (which have something like 0.1ms access times since its all flash memory, with no moving parts at all).
non having apps on the same physical bulldoze as windows is plenty of a speedup for me
